We're here to help.

Answers to the questions families ask most. Still stuck? Email us any time at hello@evening-in.com — a real person reads every message.

Does my parent need to install anything?

No. Evening In runs entirely from the caregiver's iPhone. Your parent never has to download an app, create an account, or learn anything. You manage their care record on their behalf.

How do I invite my siblings to the care circle?

Open the Circle tab and tap Invite. Evening In uses Apple's private sharing to send an invitation. Once they accept, everyone sees the same medications, doses, and appointments in real time — and every dose shows who logged it.

Where is my family's data stored?

In your own private iCloud, using Apple's CloudKit. There is no Evening In server and no account. We can't see your data, and there's nothing for us to sell or lose. See our privacy page for details.

How do reminders work?

Evening In schedules gentle local notifications for upcoming doses and refills. They're calm by design — a nudge, never an alarm. You can manage notification permissions in the iOS Settings app.

Can I correct a dose I logged by mistake?

Yes. Every logged dose is tappable — you can change its status or clear the log entirely. Nothing is locked, and the audit trail updates for everyone in the circle.

What is the ER summary?

A clean, one-tap document listing every current medication, allergy, and condition. Show it on your phone or print it before an appointment or emergency. It's always current because it's built from your live med list.

Does Evening In calculate dosages or give medical advice?

No — and it never will. Evening In records the schedule you and your prescriber set. It's a coordination and tracking tool. Always follow the guidance of your parent's doctor and pharmacist.

Is it really free?

Yes. The safety core is free forever — medications, dose logging, the shared audit trail, appointments, and the ER summary — for one loved one and a circle of up to two helpers. See pricing for the full breakdown.

What does Evening In Plus add?

Four things, all of them room and convenience rather than safety: caring for up to four loved ones instead of one, opening your care circle beyond two helpers, smart scan to fill a medication from its prescription label, and a saved-provider directory so you can reuse a doctor's address in one tap. Plus is $4.99/month, $39.99/year, or $69.99 once. Nothing that keeps a parent safe is behind it.

How do I cancel Plus, and what happens to my records?

Subscriptions are managed by Apple, not by us — open the iOS Settings app, tap your name, then Subscriptions, and cancel there. The lifetime unlock is a one-time purchase with nothing to cancel. If a subscription lapses, nothing is deleted: you keep every medication, dose, and appointment. You just can't add a new loved one or a fifth circle member until you upgrade again.

I paid on another device — how do I get Plus back?

Open the Plus screen in the app and tap Restore. That asks Apple for your purchases and re-applies them. Plus follows your Apple Account, so it works across every device you're signed in on.
